With the help of two Primavera customers, Schuff Steel Company and Hunt Construction Group, history was made when the center portion of a retractable roof weighing 5,500 tons – 11.2 million pounds of steel or about 34,000 Cardinals linemen – was lifted into place atop the new Cardinals Stadium. The actual lift took four days and was completed on February 21.
    Located in Glendale, Ariz., the stadium was designed by world-renowned architect Peter Eisenman in partnership with HOK Sport and Hunt Construction Group. It features a roof made up of two large retractable panels that can remain closed to allow for air conditioning during the hot summer months, and remain open during cooler times of the year to take advantage of Arizona’s famous sunshine......
